Shockwave Therapies

Shock waves are acoustic waves produced through a generator. At a specific frequency, pressure and focus, shock waves have therapeutic effects highlighting pain control, and including anti-inflammatory effects, formation of new blood vessels, tissue regeneration and release of stem cells, progenitor cells and molecules that modulate growth mobile. Given the therapeutic effects of shock waves, we perform treatments with 4 types of treatment waves of their application

  • Radial Shock Waves: As the name implies, radial shock waves propagate in an expansive circular fashion, decreasing their power as the radius increases, similar to the effect of a small stone falling into a lake. This allows treatment in more superficial and larger area tissue, which is why these types of waves are indicated mainly for pathologies of muscular type.

  • Focalized Shock Waves : The waves focus on a single point at a variable distance, which allows for a deeper treatment, generating a more specific effect on the tissue and at the cellular level, allowing muscle and bone to be treated. They are also indicated for treatments for scars and wounds such as diabetic ulcers, and in urological conditions (prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, among others) and aesthetic (cellulite, body modeling, among others). Similarly, they are used for degenerative pathologies and tissue stimulation for the proper development of stem cell implants.

  • Defocalized shock waves The waves are distributed linearly without any change in their trajectory, so they only have an effect on the skin, to cure and treat skin diseases < /li>

  • Diamagnetic Shock Waves :: A strong magnetic field is generated along with the focused wave, causing greater regeneration stimulation, by promoting the movement of fluid and molecules in the tissue.
